In photos: Rain and waterlogging disrupt life in Dhaka

Persistent rain has left large parts of Dhaka waterlogged, disrupting traffic and making daily commutes difficult for office-goers, students and other commuters across the capital.

From flooded roads and gridlocked traffic to stranded vehicles and disrupted businesses, these photos capture how heavy rainfall brought parts of Dhaka to a standstill, exposing the recurring waterlogging that residents face during the monsoon.
