University student arrested for peddling yaba at her flat: Rab
Rab yesterday arrested a female university student who allegedly used to sell yaba pills from her rented flat in Dhaka's Adabor.
The arrestee, Ayesha Siddiqa Ruma alias Jara, 23, is a first-year student of physics department at a private university.
Based on her information, the Rab team also recovered 2,900 pieces of yaba from her flat in Shekhertek area during the raid, Shihab Karim, assistant director (media) of Rab-2 told The Daily Star today.
Hailing from Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar, Ayesha along with her family has been living in Dhaka for a long time.
She used to bring yaba to Dhaka from the areas near the border with Myanmar and sell those at the flat, he said.
The filing of a case is underway.
