Boy dies after falling from train roof in Dhaka's Banani
The child, aged around 12, was first taken to Kurmitola General Hospital before being shifted to DMCH

An unidentified boy, aged around 12, died after falling from the roof of a train in the Sainik Club area in Dhaka's Banani today.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with critical injuries around 5:30pm, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival at the emergency department.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Synthia Akhter, a pedestrian who helped take the child to the hospital, said the boy fell from a moving train roof around 3:00pm and sustained serious injuries.
He was first taken to Kurmitola General Hospital, but was later shifted to DMCH as his condition deteriorated.
Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue.
The matter has been reported to the concerned Railway Police Station, he added.
