When I said ‘what’s up guys’, people didn’t understand: Ananta Jalil
Ananta Jalil has been prevalent on social media for many reasons, be it for his film's unique CGI work or his English pronunciations, the star has been through it all. Recently he had participated in an Eid special talk show on RTV, where the host had the question, what is the reason behind the criticism of your English-speaking skills?
The "Kill Him" star had a unique response to the question. He said, "I don't think this happens now, it used to back then. As I had studied BBA in Manchester from 1996 to 2000 and my company has been trading with England since then. The way that I used to speak then is the current style".
He also added, "When I used to say 'What's up guys', people didn't get it, but they use those words now. What I mean is people didn't get how I spoke English then. Even my friends would poke fun."
"The way I used to talk 12-14 years back is how people speak now", concluded the actor.
Ananta Jalil's film "Kill Him" was released across 11 theatres on the occasion of Eid. This is the first time Barsha, his co-star, donned the role of a villain and the film has been doing fairly well at multiplexes.
