Toofan’s ‘Ura Dhura’ drops on Shakib’s silver jubilee in industry
Since the teaser of the song "Lage Ura Dhura" from the film "Toofan" was released last Saturday, anticipation for the full song grew rapidly among fans. Today, the makers have finally released the song to celebrate Shakib Khan's silver jubilee in showbiz.
Shakib Khan and Mimi Chakraborty sizzle in this 'item' song, grooving to the peppy track. The song is voiced by musical sensation Pritom Hasan, who collaborated with songstress Debosrie Antara for the duet.
Shakib Khan looks dapper in two different ensembles in the music video: a white shirt and black pants with a golden stripe on the side and an all-black suit with sunglasses. At the end of the song, Pritom Hasan joins Shakib and Mimi, dancing along to the rhythm, and there's also a surprise cameo appearance by the film director Raihan Rafi himself.
The teaser for "Lage Ura Dhura" has stirred controversy due to allegations of the chorus tune bearing resemblance to other songs. Concerns have been raised by numerous individuals, suggesting possible similarities with tracks like "Morer Kokiley" and "Bandobi Lolita". In response to these claims, the makers have taken steps to address the issue by providing appropriate credit in the music video's bio.
"The chorus tune of this song is taken from the late Matal Rajjak Dewan's famous song 'Morar Kokiley', which has been voiced by legends like Momotaz and Baby Naznin. There are many versions of this song available worldwide. This specific version was penned by Shorif Uddin. We are honoured that Rajjak Dewan's son, Kajol Dewan, gave us official permission to include this in the movie to fit the timeline of the '90s era," reads the bio.
"Toofan" is expected to be released on Eid-ul-Azha. The Raihan Rafi directorial film also stars Chanchal Chowdhury, Masooma Nabila, and Jisshu Sengupta, amongst others.
The teaser of the film suggests a plot that explores the life of an underworld mafia leader determined to take over the country.
