Sunerah debuts in TV serial ‘Eta Amaderi Golpo’
Model-turned-actress Sunerah Binte Kamal began her career in modelling and made her silver screen debut with Taneem Rahman Angshu's "No Dorai" in 2019, earning the National Film Award for her very first performance. Her television debut came in 2022 with the one-off drama "Shunno Theke Shuru", opposite Tahsan. Last year she returned to television in Ragib Raihan's "Dabaghore", alongside Irfan Sajjad, and has since become a regular face on the small screen, with new productions premiering on various YouTube channels every month.
Sunerah has now joined a serial drama for the first time. She will play the character Saira in Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz's family series "Eta Amaderi Golpo". Her look for the serial was unveiled on Sunday (September 21) with the caption: "A family series. It begins with family, it ends with family."
The family-themed drama is being directed by Mostafa Kamal Raz, known for popular serials such as "Family Crisis", "Family Crisis Reloaded", "Graduate", and "Mike". His Eid production "Eta Tomaderi Golpo" drew praise earlier this year, when he hinted at a new family-based series. Sunerah's character reveal serves as the official announcement of the project, which will also feature Khairul Bashar, with other cast members to be introduced sequentially.
Alongside her television work, Sunerah continues to act in films. She appeared opposite Afran Nisho in Shihab Shaheen's "Daagi" during this year's Eid-ul-Fitr, and was last seen in a guest role in Tanim Noor's "Utshob", released during Eid-ul-Azha. Though her screen appearances remain selective, Sunerah's performances in both films were widely praised.
