The film "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" inspired by Sega's iconic video game serves as the third instalment in the "Sonic" movie franchise. It is finally on its way to Star Cineplex starting tomorrow (December 27).

Building on the first movie's success, the 2022 sequel, "Sonic the Hedgehog 2", gained immense popularity among audiences, earning praise for its visual effects and Sonic's characterisation. The third chapter has once again been directed by Jeff Fowler, who helmed the previous two instalments.

In "Sonic the Hedgehog 3", Ben Schwartz voices Sonic, while Idris Elba voices Knuckles the Echidna, Colleen O'Shaughnessey portrays Tails, and Jim Carrey takes on the role of Dr Robotnik. 

As teased in earlier films, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles will face a new adversary this time—a formidable character named Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow's identity and motivations are expected to be a central focus of the movie. 

Unlike Sonic, who has found family and friendship, Shadow's life has been marked by sorrow and loss. The trailer highlights an intense showdown between Sonic and Shadow, dynamic action scenes featuring Knuckles, and stunning animation.
