‘Shehzada’ faces off against ‘Ant-Man’ on Indian grounds
Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer film "Shehzada" made its way into the Indian silver screens last February 17. However, despite all the promotional works done by the two stars, it now faces strong competition from the Marvel sequel film, "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania".
Initially, Rohit Dhawan's directorial film, "Shehzada" was supposed to be released on February 10, yet was pushed to February 17 to avoid clash with Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan".
According to media outlets, the film's first two days Box office collection was around Rs 12 crore. On the other hand, The Ant-Man's third installment film which was released on the same day, had scored around Rs 17 crores in India.
In response to this, the film's authorities even presented a 'buy one, get one free' offer on their tickets. However, the film has yet to see much change on its ticket sales up till now.
"Shehzada" is the Hindi remake of the Allu Arjun starrer Telugu film "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo". According to what the film critics told the media, "Shehzada'' fell victim to the 'remake' factor, hence the shaky start-off..
Kartik Aaryan previously appeared in "Freddy" and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" last year, and is expected to appear next in "Satyaprem Ki Katha" co-starring with Kiara Advani.
