Salman Shah, Shabnur’s film returns to theatres
The duo of Salman Shah and Shabnur gave fans numerous hits from "Sopner Thikana" to "Anondo Osru". Their cracking chemistry enamoured audiences, as thousands flocked to cinema halls to watch their films.
However, the fans were left heartbroken after the untimely death of Salman Shah, which put an end to this wonderful pairing on the silver screen.
Now, great news has been revealed for fans of Salman Shah and Shabnur, as their film will be screened once again in theatres. Barishal's Oviruchi Cinema Hall will screen their superhit film, "Tumi Amar", on February 10. Directed by Zahirul Haque, the film was released during Eid, on May 19, 1997.
Abdullah Zahir Babu, son of Zahirul Haque, announced the news on his Facebook.
"It is with great pleasure that I inform you that my first film "Tumi Amar" directed by my father, Late Zahirul Haque, and written by me with story and dialogues is going to be re-released on 10th February, 2023 at Barisal Oviruchi Cinema hall," read the post.
"Tumi Amar" was a massive success upon its release. The film also starred KS Firoz, Prabir Mitra and Syed Hasan Imam, among others.
