Sai Pallavi replacing Alia Bhatt as Sita?

Rumours have been swirling about Alia Bhatt walking out of Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious project, "Ramayan". The latest buzz in the gossip mill suggests that South Indian sensation Sai Pallavi might step into Alia's shoes for the role of Sita in the highly anticipated film. If the news is true, then this will be Sai Pallavi's Bollywood debut.

According to reports, the makers of "Ramayan" have reportedly chosen Sai Pallavi to portray the iconic character of Sita, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, after Alia Bhatt had to opt out of the film due to scheduling conflicts.

Although India Today has reported this development, there has been no official confirmation from the production team regarding this casting change.

Allegedly, Alia's exit from the project was attributed to clashes in her busy schedule, whereas Ranbir Kapoor remains committed to the film. Meanwhile, Yash, renowned for his role in "KGF", has been undergoing multiple look tests for the character of Raavan; however, his participation in the project is yet to be finalised.

Originally planned to commence filming in December 2023, there seems to be a potential shift in the timeline for "Ramayan". Sources suggest that the pre-production stage for the three-part film is still ongoing, which could potentially affect the project's ability to begin shooting by the initially intended timeframe.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udhyawar, "Ramayan" is set to begin production in mid-2024, as the team continues to finalise the cast and wrap up pre-production.
