Purnima perplexed by pregnancy rumours
Recently, Dhallywood actress Purnima found herself in an uncomfortable situation, after various online media outlets started sharing reports of her 'pregnancy'. However, the "Moner Majhe Tumi" star has dismissed the reports as false, expressing her embarrassment and anger at the spread of such misinformation.
Purnima addressed the news of her alleged "motherhood" to The Daily Star, saying, "I came across a very fake news. It is not something I would hide or keep secret. This is a happy news, and if it were true, I would have shared it with the public through my social media platforms!"

Feeling embarrassed by the fabricated news, Purnima revealed, "Upon seeing the news, various relatives started calling me, wondering why I hadn't shared such a news with them! I found myself in a very difficult situation due to this fake news!"
Expressing her frustration, the actress also added, "Journalists have been calling me one after another! But those who spread such fake news didn't bother to reach out to me even once before publishing it! What was the problem in giving me a call? It's not like I am unavailable. So, why did they spread false news without verification?"
This year marks Purnima's 25th anniversary in the film industry. Her filmography includes notable works such as "Shami Strir Juddho", "Akash Choya Valobasha", "Moner Sathe Juddho", "Maa Amar Shorgo", and "Badha", among others.
