Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife allegedly ‘imprisoned’ at home
After noted Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's mother, had lodged a complaint against his wife Aaliya Siddiqui allegedly over a land dispute, Aaliya now claims to be 'imprisoned' at the in-laws' house—deprived of proper sleep, food, and basic privacy.
Aaliya and her two children returned from Dubai last week due to passport issues. They have been stuck at the in-laws' house ever since.
Aaliya shared her current living conditions on her social media, writing, "I have been forced to live, sleep and utilise only the hall, at my own husband's house, since the past 7 days. My children who have just arrived from Dubai are sleeping with me by joining two sofa sets in the Hall. I somehow managed to take a bath in a small toilet meant for guests. No food, no sleep, and on top of that Security Guards are put all around me. Now, even cameras are installed and every move is monitored. No peace and no privacy. All seven bedrooms are locked by my in-laws, and my husband Nawazuddin Siddiqui is not traceable to protect me or even stand up for me. Even my Advocate was not allowed to take my signature for Court papers. Will the harassment by my in-laws ever end? Waiting for justice."
Concerning this , Aaliya's advocate told the media, "Mr Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family members have in the last seven days ensured that no food, no bed, and no bathroom to take bath is given to my client. They have even posted innumerable male bodyguards all around my client and further installed CCTV cameras in the hall, where my client is currently staying with her minor children."
He continued, "To add to all of this, they even ensured that I do not obtain any signatures of my client to file appropriate court cases against Mr. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family members. Despite being stopped and threatened at multiple levels and no police officer coming to the aid of my client, I and my team managed to obtain the signatures of my client for the court cases. Accordingly, multiple cases are being filed in the courts now."
