Mithila and Ayra’s African adventure
Yesterday, at a session in Dhaka Lit Fest, popular actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila talked about her experience of exploring Africa along with her daughter, Ayra. The session in question was a special children's session titled, "Adventures of Mom and Me".
The session featuring Mithila took place around 10 am this Saturday, on the premises of Bangla Academy.
Mithila kicked-off the session by talking about her book, "Africay Shingher Khoje". The actress shared how she would often travel to different countries for her work. On one such visit to Africa, her daughter Ayra accompanied her. The mother-daughter duo explored the biodiversity of Africa in the safari park. The book, "Africay Shingher Khoje", was written about their expedition.
The two read their book to the children sitting in the audience. When Mithila was describing the different animals they saw in Africa, Ayra said, "I was looking for Simba the entire time."
Little Ayra wanted to see a lion up close. Finally, at the end of the book, it was revealed that her dream of seeing a lion in real life, came true.
Alongside the reading session, Mithila also showed the pictures of various animals in the book. Finally, the two also took some time to hear the travel experiences of other children present in the audience.
