Mahi wants to return to shooting
Dhallywood actress Mahiya Mahi is making a comeback after a long hiatus due to her maternity leave. Stepping back into the limelight, Mahi attended a special screening of the movie 'Shurongo' last Saturday. During the event, she expressed her eagerness to return to work and revealed that she already has a few scripts in her hands.
Reflecting on her break from movies, Mahi shared, "I've been away from the industry for quite some time, but I'm looking forward to getting back to work. I've been reading and watching scripts, but I haven't finalised my decision on which project to choose. However, I'll make a decision soon and start working on a new film."
Mahi emphasised the importance of liking the story and screenplay and expressed her intention to discuss potential projects with directors before making an official announcement and commencing shooting.
The actress also expressed her excitement about the success of this year's Eid movies and the positive impact they have on the industry. She stated, "All the movies released during Eid are performing well, which is great news for our industry. When movies do well at the box office, it encourages more productions and enables us to create quality work. Last year, movies like 'Poran' and 'Hawa' achieved success, proving that if a good movie is made, the audience will come."
Becoming a mother has transformed Mahi's perspective on life, and her top priority is now her child, Farish. She shared, "Motherhood has brought significant changes to my life. Whenever I feel upset, I find solace in embracing Farish. His smile brings me indescribable joy. Farish is now everything in my life."
Before taking her maternity leave, Mahi had already completed two films, namely "Anondo Osru" and "Officer In Charge," which are awaiting release. In "Anondo Osru" directed by Mostafizur Rahman Manik, Mahi stars opposite Symon Sadiq, while she shares the screen with DA Taib in "Officer In Charge."
