Lady Gaga debuts Harley Quinn look for ‘Joker’ sequel
Recently, Lady Gaga stunned everyone with her new look as Harley Quinn for the sequel to Tod Phillip's "Joker".
The pop sensation turned actress was spotted on camera this Saturday, while filming sequences in New York City for "Joker: Folie à Deux"—the sequel to the Oscar-winning 2019 film starring Joaquin Phoenix.
In the photos, Gaga can be seen donning a red blazer, a black leather skirt, and ripped stockings. Her diamond-patterned tights and jacket match her black-and-white shirt, which has been a defining feature of Harley Quinn's style since her 1992 debut in "Batman: The Animated Series".
In the photos, Gaga can be seen surrounded by officers from the Gotham City Police Department, outside of what looks to be a courthouse.
A picture of Phoenix dressed as the 'Joker' was shared by the director in December to announce the start of filming. The actor, who won an Oscar for his performance in the 2019 film, reprises his role as Arthur Fleck in the sequel, which has been written by Phillips and Scott Silver.
The USD 1 billion-grossing Warner Bros movie, "Joker", revolves around Fleck, an aspiring comic who was struggling with mental health issues. "Folie à Deux", the title of the sequel, is a medical word describing a mental illness that affects two or more persons, often members of the same family.
"Joker: Folie à Deux" will hit the theatres on October 9, 2024.
