‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ fails to capture Bangladeshi fans
After "Pathaan" came to Bangladesh last May 12, Salman Khan's film "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" was also screened in 32 cinema halls across the nation last Friday. However, the Indian film has not been doing well in the Bangladeshi theatres.
Directed by Farhad Samji, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" was screened in five different branches of Star Cineplex with a total of 18 shows.
The cineplex's representative Mesbah Uddin Ahmed told The Daily Star, "We are no longer screening 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' that much anymore. Perhaps because this film is a bit old and is available on OTT platforms, is why the audiences aren't coming to watch it."
"Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" was also screened in Madhumita cinema hall, Motijheel. The owner of the cinema hall, Iftekhar Uddin Noushad shared, "The Salman Khan starrer isn't running well in our theatre. Perhaps due to the film being a bit too old."
The film stars Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, Palak Tiwari, Ram Charan, and Bhumika Chawla among others.
"Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" was initially released in India on April 21 this year. It had earned over Rs 110 crore from Indian box office and Rs 182 crore from worldwide premiere.
