HBO Max to launch in Bangladesh

Warner Bros. Discovery is extending its global streaming footprint, announcing that HBO Max will debut across 14 new Asia Pacific markets—including Bangladesh—on October 15.
The expansion marks a major push for HBO Max, already the streaming home of iconic franchises like "Harry Potter", "House of the Dragon", "The Last of Us", and Warner Bros. blockbusters including "Superman", "A Minecraft Movie", and "Final Destination: Bloodlines".
"Following successful launches in Australia and Europe earlier this year, the global expansion of HBO Max continues to bring unparalleled entertainment to more fans across the world," said JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming & Games at Warner Bros. Discovery. "By the end of the year, HBO Max will be available in more than 100 markets, with more to come in 2026, including major launches in Germany, Italy and the U.K."

What's coming to Bangladesh
From day one, Bangladeshi subscribers will gain access to a broad catalogue of HBO Originals, Max Originals, and Warner Bros. hits, alongside curated content from Discovery, TLC, AFN, Food Network, ID, and HGTV.
One of the biggest draws will be the premiere of IT: "Welcome to Derry", arriving on October 27. The series, set in Stephen King's "IT" universe, expands on Andy Muschietti's film adaptations and stars Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård. It is being developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs.
HBO Max will also offer an impressive lineup ranging from culture-defining series like "The Last of Us", "House of the Dragon", and "The Penguin", to family favorites such as "Adventure Time", "We Bare Bears", "Tom and Jerry", and "Looney Tunes". Fans can also expect fresh originals, including "The Paper" and "MobLand", as well as documentary staples like "Gold Rush", "Deadliest Catch", and "90 Day Fiancé".

A streaming experience tailored to viewers
Subscribers will be able to stream across multiple devices with a streamlined, user-friendly interface designed for personalization. Features include seamless search, genre-based navigation, customisable profiles (up to five per household, each with avatar options), a Continue Watching function, and the ability to download content for offline viewing.
Dedicated kids' profiles will provide age-appropriate programming with robust parental controls. Families will also be able to curate safe viewing environments while still enjoying the platform's expansive library.

Where to subscribe
From launch, HBO Max will be available directly through www.hbomax.com, with additional partnerships to be announced in the coming weeks.
With this expansion, Bangladesh joins a global network of more than 100 HBO Max markets, bringing some of the most recognisable entertainment brands—HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Harry Potter, Cartoon Network—under one roof. For viewers, it's a chance to stream the world's most talked-about stories, from Westeros to Gotham, all in one place.
