Eid films still going strong
This Eid-ul-Azha, five films were released amongst which Himel Ashraf's "Priyotoma" and Raihan Rafi's "Shurongo" stood out the most.
On the other hand Chayanika Chowdhury's "Prohelika", Saikat Nasir's "Casino" and Bandhan Biswas's "Laal Shari" also did admirably.
All of the films were released across the country in 171 cinema halls.
In its second week, there are not many changes in the number of halls. One hall for the Shakib Khan and Idhika Paul featurette film "Priyotoma" was increased, which was originally released in 105 cinemas throughout Bangladesh.
While Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza starrer "Shurongo" remains in the same number of halls, with a decrease in six daily shows. "Shurongo" was released in 28 halls across the country.
Both films have been released in the USA, Canada and Australia today.
Mahfuz Ahmed and Shobnom Bubly starrer "Prohelika" will have 5 increased shows in eight theatres of Cineplex. The film was released in 8 halls.
Meanwhile, Apu Biswas' debut production was released in two more halls in its second week. It had 12 hall on the first week.
Moreover, shows for Bubly and Nirab Hossain featurette "Casino" have been decreased by 15 halls. It was released in 16 halls across the country. The director of the film informed the media that it might get more halls in its third week. He also added that the film is in the talks for an international release as well.
