‘Delupi’ to premiere in Khulna this November ahead of nationwide release

The release date for the much-anticipated film "Delupi", directed by Mohammad Taufiq Islam, has finally been announced. The film is set to premiere in Khulna on November 7, followed by a nationwide release on November 14.

The announcement was made through a social media post by the film's production company at 11am yesterday. 

Explaining why the film will first be released in Khulna, director Taufiq Islam said, "We wanted the people of the region where the story originates to experience the film first. Besides cinema halls, we're also arranging screenings in several unions and villages in Khulna for the convenience of the audience. Now, it's just a matter of reaching the viewers."

Two teasers and one song from "Delupi" have already received positive responses from audiences, while the official trailer is expected to be released soon.

The title "Delupi" is derived from Deluti Union in Paikgacha upazila of Khulna. Inspired by the lives, realities, and relationships of the people from that region, the film presents a fictional narrative grounded in real experiences – one that resonates beyond local boundaries to reflect stories familiar to people across the country.
