Daniel Craig returns in ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’ teaser

Netflix has unveiled the first teaser for "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery", the third chapter in Rian Johnson's acclaimed whodunit series. Daniel Craig once again steps into the shoes of detective Benoit Blanc — this time to crack what he calls "the impossible crime."

The film revolves around the shocking murder of a Catholic priest, played by Josh Brolin, during Mass. As always, Johnson's script promises a layered puzzle of suspects, secrets, and suspense. Joining Craig is a heavyweight cast featuring Glenn Close, Cailee Spaeny, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Josh O'Connor, Andrew Scott, and Brolin.

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, where it stirred anticipation for both its mystery and its performances. Glenn Close, who stars in the ensemble, described the project as "one of the best experiences of my life" in an interview earlier this year.

Craig also debuts a new look for Blanc, with longer hair and a sharp three-piece suit — a stylistic shift from his appearances in "Knives Out" (2019) and "Glass Onion" (2022).

"Wake Up Dead Man" opens in select theatres on November 26 before its global release on Netflix on December 12.
