Action-packed trailer for 'The Marvels' unveils female-led superhero trio
Marvel Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for "The Marvels", the follow-up to the 2019 hit "Captain Marvel". The film will see Brie Larson reprising her iconic role as Carol Danvers, while Parris and Vellani make their Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts, returning as Captain Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan, also known as Ms Marvel.
Expanding upon the film's first teaser, the latest trailer offers Marvel enthusiasts a glimpse of what's in store for this formidable female-led superhero team.
Carol, Monica, and Kamala find their powers intertwined, leading to a unique phenomenon where they swap places when their abilities are activated. Additionally, fans get a closer look at Samuel L Jackson's comeback as Nick Fury and Zawe Ashton's portrayal of the villainous Dar-Benn, whose sinister intentions threaten multiple worlds.
Parris initially wowed audiences with her performance as Monica in the Disney+ series "WandaVision," portraying the daughter of Carol's late friend, Maria Rambeau (played by Lashana Lynch in "Captain Marvel"). Vellani, on the other hand, delighted viewers with her role as Kamala, the passionate Captain Marvel enthusiast, in the Disney+ series "Ms. Marvel".
"The Marvels" is a highly anticipated installment in Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which kicked-off earlier this year with "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" and continued with "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3".
Directed by Nia DaCosta, "The Marvels" is set to hit theaters on November 10. DaCosta's involvement marks a significant milestone as the first Black woman and fourth woman to helm a film in the MCU.
