Shilpakala Academy to host ‘Chand Raat Eid Anondo Utshob’

To mark Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has taken an initiative to organise a special cultural programme titled “Chand Raat Eid Anondo Utshob”. The event will be held today (March 20) at 6:30pm at the academy’s open-air Nandan Mancha in Segunbagicha.

Cultural Affairs Secretary Mofidur Rahman will attend the programme as the chief guest, while Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and poet Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed (Rezauddin Stalin) will preside over the event.

Speaking about the initiative, Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed said the academy aims to promote an inclusive society where festivals of all communities are celebrated with equal importance.

The event, organised by the academy’s music, dance and recitation departments, will feature performances by singers Baby Naznin, Nancy, Pial Hasan, Nolok Babu, Animesh Roy, Anannya Acharya and Samir Kawal. A mehendi corner will also be open to all attendees.
