Three films, three different characters: Salahuddin Lavlu
Veteran actor and theatre director Salahuddin Lavlu is currently busy balancing both acting and direction. He has taken on three new films recently.
The films are “Cactus”, directed by Shihab Shaheen; "Malik”, directed by Saif Chandan; and “Secret”, directed by Bandhan Biswas.
Salahuddin Lavlu said, “I have played three different characters in these three films. I truly enjoyed working on them. Audiences will enjoy watching the films, and I also found great joy in performing. I thoroughly enjoyed the projects.”
He added, “The story of Shihab Shaheen’s ‘Cactus' is quite different and has a sense of novelty that audiences will appreciate. Saif Chandan’s ‘Malik’ also offers a distinctive storyline — viewers will experience something different. Bandhan Biswas’s ‘Secret’ likewise brings freshness. Altogether, the three films are shaping up to be something special.”
Meanwhile, in addition to the three new films, Salahuddin Lavlu has directed a one-hour television drama for Eid titled “Shottyo Shongkot”, which will be aired on Channel i. The drama has been written by Asad Sarkar.
“Shottyo Shongkot” stars Zakia Bari Mamo, Salahuddin Lavlu, Amin Azad and Farzana Bobby, among others.
Speaking about the Eid drama, he said, “The main strength of ‘Shottyo Shongkot’ lies in its story. It portrays a man who speaks the truth throughout his life and faces various difficulties because of it. Yet he never stops telling the truth. The drama reflects that there are still many people in society who stand by honesty.”
