Tania Brishty’s health update after brain tumour surgery

Actress Tania Brishty’s brain tumour surgery has been successfully completed. The news was confirmed by director Imraul Rafat, citing the attending physicians, after a four-hour operation.

In a Facebook post, he wrote that, by the grace of Almighty Allah, actress Tania Brishty’s surgery had been successfully carried out.

Following a complex operation lasting approximately four hours, doctors were able to remove the tumour from her body. She is currently under close observation and will remain under medical supervision for the next 24 hours.

Imraul Rafat added that doctors have indicated there remains a possibility of post-operative complications, and therefore she cannot yet be declared completely out of danger. Her family has requested prayers from everyone for her swift recovery.

They have also urged people not to crowd the hospital unnecessarily and to refrain from making excessive phone calls that may inconvenience or distress family members.

For several days, Tania Brishty had been unwell. At times she experienced severe headaches, while at other times she suffered from fever and cold-like symptoms. After undergoing tests at two hospitals, she was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

On Saturday (February 14) afternoon, following medical advice, she underwent brain surgery at a specialised hospital in Shyamoli, in the capital.

Earlier, director Shakal Ahmed informed Channel i online of the development. He said that the surgery began at 4:30pm on Sunday (February 15) and was expected to continue until 8:00pm. Doctors did not wish to take any risks and therefore advised immediate surgery.

On Saturday evening, in a post shared from her verified fan page, Tania stated that she would have to undergo brain surgery and requested prayers from everyone.
