Tangia Zaman Methila crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025

Model and actress Tangia Zaman Methila has been crowned Florabank Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025. The glittering event was held on Thursday (September 18), at Aloki Green House in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

This November, Methila will represent Bangladesh on the global stage at the 74th Miss Universe International competition, to be held in Thailand.

At the event, Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke, Managing Director of Flora Telecom Limited and National Director of Miss Universe Bangladesh, shared, "Miss Universe is not just a beauty pageant; it is a global platform that celebrates intelligence, confidence, and purpose. We are proud to showcase Bangladesh in this arena. It not only inspires young women but also opens new doors for them to present their talent and resilience on the world stage."

Methila is not only a successful model and actress but is also known for her advocacy against child marriage and her work for underprivileged children. She previously won the national crown in 2020, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, was unable to compete internationally. By reclaiming the crown in 2025, she has made history.

In her victory speech, Mithila dedicated her triumph to her mother. "Whatever I am today is only because of my mother. She has always been my strength and my inspiration. This achievement belongs as much to her as it does to me," shared the artiste.

Looking ahead to the international competition in November, Mithila added, "I want to represent Bangladesh with pride. With dignity, courage, and honour, I will do my best to uphold my country's name. Please stand by me and keep me in your prayers."

Notably, Shirin Shila won the Miss Universe Bangladesh title in 2019, while Anika Alam earned the crown in 2024.
