Stentorian returns after two decades with new single ‘Chaya Britto’
After more than two decades of silence, Bangladeshi metal band Stentorian has returned with a new single, "Chaya Britto", marking a significant moment in the band's long and complex journey.
Released 23 years after the band's early creative phase, the track signals a return shaped by time, distance and artistic persistence. Rather than positioning itself as a nostalgic revival, the release reflects a band that has endured, evolved and chosen to speak again with measured intent.
A notable aspect of the comeback is the return of original founding member Torsha on vocals. His involvement marks his first collaboration with Stentorian in over 20 years, bringing a familiar yet matured voice to the band's new chapter.
"Chaya Britto" delves into themes of emotional confinement, invisible boundaries and internal conflict; struggles that persist even after outward battles subside. Its restrained heaviness and lyrical intensity echo the band's prolonged absence, where survival and transformation intersect.
The track features Wasiun Khan, who led the music production and performed the guitar solo, adding a distinct sonic identity to the composition. Drums were co-composed by Zahid Parvez, reinforcing the song's brooding tension. The accompanying music video, produced by the band, extends the song's themes through layered shadows and symbolic visuals.
In its return, Stentorian presents itself not as a band looking back, but as one shaped by time; deliberate, resilient and forward-looking.
