Sabina Yasmin returns with new song ‘Oteet Golpoguli’

Legendary singer Sabina Yasmin, who had been away from music while battling cancer, has recorded a new track after regaining her health. Titled "Oteet Golpoguli", the song will soon be released under the FA Music label.

The lyrics were penned by FA Music founder and lyricist Faruk Anwar, with tune and arrangement by composer Samrat Ahmed. The channel has already drawn praise for its work with veteran artistes.

Sharing her thoughts on the comeback, Sabina Yasmin said, "I had always mentioned that I would sing if a song suited my style. The words and melody of 'Oteet Golpoguli' touched my heart. Singing it has been a unique joy. My thanks to Faruk Anwar for writing such a beautiful piece and to Samrat for the fine composition and arrangement."

Lyricist Faruk Anwar said, "I had long planned to create a new song for the esteemed Sabina Yasmin. I wrote it carefully with her voice in mind and composed the melody accordingly. We are already encouraged because she liked it. Our effort will be truly fulfilled if listeners appreciate it."

Composer and music director Samrat Ahmed added, "Working on a song for Sabina Yasmin is a milestone for me. Faruk Anwar Sir asked me to craft a tune that she would enjoy and feel comfortable singing. I drew inspiration from the melodies of Alauddin Ali Sir, whose compositions brought her many hits. I put my utmost effort into creating a good tune and a rich orchestration. I hope the song wins over the audience."
