BTS announce 2026 comeback album ‘Arirang’ with member-specific vinyl editions

By Arts & Entertainment Desk

Global K-pop supergroup BTS has officially announced its highly anticipated new album, “Arirang”, set for release on March 20, 2026. The project marks the group’s first full-length album as a complete unit since “Proof”, released in 2022. The announcement was made through the fan community platform Weverse, with the album to be released under BigHit Music.

According to the label, “Arirang” is deeply rooted in BTS’ Korean heritage, capturing themes of longing and profound love. The album takes its name from Korea’s most iconic folk song, recognised as a UNESCO cultural heritage, symbolising yearning and homecoming. The 14-track release will be available in multiple formats, including CD and vinyl, with pre-orders opening on January 16, 2026.

As reported by Soompi, the album will feature standard and deluxe editions alongside exclusive member-specific vinyl pressings. Each member will receive a distinct vinyl colour, while additional versions will include a group red vinyl, a Modern Korea vinyl, and deluxe colour and black-and-white editions.

Arirang will also anchor BTS’ largest world tour to date, scheduled to begin on April 9, 2026, at Goyang Stadium. The tour, spanning more than 70 shows across Asia, Europe and the Americas, will mark the group’s full-scale return to global touring following the completion of mandatory military service.
