Renowned singer and music director Bappa Mazumder has lent his voice to a song titled "Magurar Phool", inspired by the tragic incident involving eight-year-old girl, who was raped and murdered in Magura.

The song was penned and composed by noted poet, lyricist, and composer Mahbubul Khalid. Young artistes Moutushi Khan, Mouli Mazumder, and Moumita Barua also contributed their voices to the track.

Recording, mixing, and mastering of the audio have recently been completed, with music arrangement by Sheikh Pulak and Roman Rahman. A music video is currently in the works.

The song will soon be released on Mahbubul Khalid's official music platform, Khalid Sangeet, as well as on its associated YouTube channel and Facebook page, alongside the Mahbubul A Khalid Facebook page.

Mahbubul Khalid is known for addressing contemporary social issues through his music. Over 500 of his songs have been published under the Khalid Sangeet banner, many of which have been composed by the lyricist himself.

His earlier works on victims of violence include "Felani" and "Aduri", among others.

Deeply moved by Magura girl's ordeal, Khalid wrote and composed "Magurar Phool" as a protest and a call for awareness.

The song opens with the lines: "Magurar phool, chhoto mukul, jhore gelo phute othar agei. Daktar howar shopnota taar, nibhe gelo pishacher ek chhobolei, ek chhobolei."

Through this song, the artiste urges society to stand by victims and their families and to remain vigilant against such atrocities.
