After Ghazals, Dr Mahfuzur Rahman back with Bangla Eid songs
ATN Bangla Chairman Dr Mahfuzur Rahman who enthralled the audiences with his unique Ghazals covers, is back with his Bangla original songs.
ATN Bangla Entertainment has already released three covers from his solo-concert "Hridoye Tomakei Chay". The songs are titled "Rafta Rafta", "Pyar Bhare Do Sharmeele Nain" and "O Mere Samne" on social media.
This year, the Eid special programme will consist of 12 songs, among which "Jano Nah", "Bhalobashi Bole," "Ami Tomar", "Beiman", "Thikana", "Jibon Sathi", "Amar Bhalobasha Onno Rokom," "Tumi Shotti Kore Bolo", and "Remix Daima-2."
The songs have been composed by Mannan Mohammad, Rajesh Ghosh and SI Suman. The lyrics have been penned by Najma Mohammad, Rajesh Ghosh, SI Suman and Dr Mahfuzur Rahman.
"Rafta Rafta" and "Pyar Bhare Do Sharmeele Nain" are covers of eminent Pakistani Ghazal artiste Mehdi Hassan, while the latter, "O Mere Samne" was sung by Ferdousi Begum for the Pakistani film, "Chakori" (1967).
Last Eid-ul-Fitr, Rahman's sensational performance, where he holds a lamp (hariken) while singing, became one of the most talked-about performances.
