Samanzar Sayeed crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2026

Samanzar Sayeed has been crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2026 at the grand finale held last evening at the Mallika Hall of Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden.

The newly crowned winner will represent Bangladesh at the 75th Miss World Festival, which is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The festival will begin on August 9, with the grand finale set for September 5.

Swagata Saha Oishi was named the first runner-up, while Labiba Manzur finished as the second runner-up.

Opening the event, Azra Mahmood, founder of Azra Mahmood Talent Camp and National Director of Miss World Bangladesh, reflected on the organisation's journey.

"Our journey began with the vision of empowering young people through modelling and presenting. Over time, we have continued to grow. We have already completed ten batches of modelling training, and many of our graduates are now building successful careers in the industry," she said at the event.

The judging panel featured Shirin Akhter Sheela, Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019; Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, Miss World Bangladesh 2019; Sheikh Saifur Rahman, consultant at Half Fashion and a heritage textile specialist; Mehrin Afroze Chowdhury, Editor, Star Lifestyle at The Daily Star; and Efa Tabassum, Miss International Bangladesh 2024.

As the winner of this year's competition, Samanzar Sayeed will carry Bangladesh's hopes onto the international stage at the 75th edition of Miss World in Vietnam next month.
