Razz and Sabila to reunite for new film after ‘Bonolota Express’
Sariful Razz and Sabila Nur are set to share the screen once again following the success of “Bonolota Express”, their first film together.
Released during Eid-ul-Fitr, “Bonolota Express”, directed by Tanim Noor and based on a story by Humayun Ahmed, emerged as one of the biggest hits in recent years. The film also performed strongly overseas, particularly in North America, where it reportedly achieved record earnings for a Bangladeshi production.
Razz and Sabila played Dr Ashhab and Chitra in the film, earning praise from audiences for their performances and on-screen chemistry.
Now, the pair is set to work together in a new film, directed by Zubair Ibne Bakar. While the project’s title has yet to be finalised, its screenplay is reportedly complete and a production company has already been attached.
The film is being planned for an Eid-ul-Fitr 2027 release. Discussions are ongoing, though details regarding the shooting schedule and the rest of the cast have not yet been confirmed. Zubair said the project remains in its early stages.
Sabila Nur, meanwhile, plans to take a short break before starting new work. She will travel to the United States next month to visit family, beginning with a stop in New York, where “Bonolota Express” will be screened at a film festival.
