I reject this verdict: Rajib’s father
Slain blogger Rajib's father today rejected the verdict of his son's murder alleging that it was "dictated".
Dr Nazim Uddin reacted with such comments just after a court in Dhaka handed death penalty to two and various jail terms for six others for killing Rajib.
"I reject the verdict. It has been dictated," he said adding that he will appeal against the verdict.
He alleged that the mastermind of the killing is yet to be arrested though he (an accused who is on the run) is identified. "It is unbelievable. I am not satisfied with the verdict"
"If he is arrested and interrogated, the reason behind the killing and those who were behind it would be known."
Reacting to the verdict, Rajib's father said it would have been only natural if the court had given death to all the accused since "they were self-proclaimed killers".
