Teen crushed under train while taking selfie
A teenager was crushed under the wheels of a passenger train in Brahmanbaria’s Ashuganj upazila while trying to take a selfie on railway tracks.
The identity of the boy could not be ascertained immediately, but he looked like he was in his mid-teen years, our local correspondent reports quoting locals.
Bhairab Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Majid said the incident took place on the newly inaugurated President Zillur Rahman railway bridge on Meghna River around 3:00pm.
The youth was trying to take a selfie on his phone on the railway trackswhen a Mysmensingh bound train Bijoy Express, from Chittagong, crushed him under. He died on the spot.
Later, railway police recovered his body from the spot.
Just a few days ago, a father met tragic end and also extinguished the life of his two children in Narsingdi while also trying to take a selfie on railway tracks.
