Girls fare better in results, GPA 5
Girls have outshined boys in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent results, securing higher pass rates and more GPA 5.
The pass rate of girls stood at 83.28 per cent. The pass rate of boys was 81.13 per cent according to the result statistics of 10 boards published.
In total, 53,484 girls secured GPA 5, the highest grade of SSC. For boys, the number was 52,110. In total 1,05,594 students secured GPA 5.
Girls were ahead of boys even within the eight SSC boards with a pass rate of 83.54 per cent. Boys’ pass rate in eight boards was 82.01 per cent.
Education minister Dipu Moni announced the results at International Mother Language Institute this morning and disclosed the statistics.
