Science-based mobile games launched for class 6-8 students

A local game developer has developed three separate mobile games for the students of grade six, seven and eight to solve the complicated chapters of their science textbooks for the first-of-its-kind initiative in the country.

Renowned local software company Dream71 Bangladesh Ltd has developed the games with the support of the Access to Information (a2i) Programme of Prime Minister's Office.

The games ‘Bigganer Rajje’ will give the solution of seven chapters of the books in the three classes and it may take around one hour to and one and a half hours to complete the full game for a student, said the developing firm, Dream 71.

Dr Muhammed Zafar Iqba, eminent writer and a professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, inaugurated the games at the Amar Ekushey Boi Mela today.

“We wanted to create a platform so that the students can find a comfortable and interactive way to learn the difficult chapters and terms of science,” said Rashad Kabir, managing director of Dream71 Bangladesh Ltd.

Dream 71 has developed these games following the textbooks thinking that the gamefication can help students understand the challenges using different perspectives and characters, objects and audio-visual effects.

Students can play these games on both iOS and android platform, said the developing firm Dream 71.
