Seven-foot long python rescued in Bagerhat
Forest officials in Bagerhat rescued a seven-foot python from a village in Sharankhola upazila today.
Members of the forest department and tiger team rescued the python in North Tafalbari village this morning, said Samsul Haque, station officer of Sharankhola range.
Later, it was released in a forest adjacent to Sharankhola range office of the forest department, our Bagerhat correspondent reports, quoting Samsul Haque.
The snake might have come to the area in search of food, the forest official added.
