5 workers of a dyeing factory burned in Ashulia

Five workers of a dyeing factory suffered burn injuries in Ashulia, on the outskirts of the capital Dhaka, last night.

Of the injured, Nuru, Saju and Ramjan were admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital while Monir and Kamal to East West Medical College and Hospital, our Savar correspondent reports.

The incident took place when the workers were boiling water for dyeing cotton at ‘One Threat BD Limited’ in Ashulia around 8:00pm, said Abdul Hamid, station officer of Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ) Fire Service Station.

The hot water poured on them accidentally when they were dyeing the cotton in it, the fire service official said.

Rezaur Rahman, manager of the factory, told our correspondent that the five suffered burns due to their carelessness.
