Bangladesh Railway authorities will begin selling advance train tickets from September 15 to ensure hassle-free journey for Eid-ul-Azha holidaymakers.

The sale will continue till September 19 at Kamalapur in the capital and Chittagong railway stations, Railways Minister Mujibul Haque said today.

Train tickets of September 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 will be distributed on September 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 respectively, the minister said at a press briefing at the Railway Bhaban in the capital.

Also seven more pairs of special train services will be added to the existing ones in order to facilitate the holidaymakers ahead of Eid-ul Azha, said minister said.

Meanwhile, the state-run Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will start selling advance Eid tickets from September 16.

Tickets will be sold from Kamalapur, Kallyanpur, Gabtoli, Joarshahara and Mirpur bus depots, BRTC Chairman Mizanur Rahman told The Daily Star.

Bangladesh Railway authorities will begin selling advance train tickets from September 15 to ensure hassle-free journey for Eid-ul-Azha holidaymakers.
