Cops fly tonight to bring back Kamrul from KSA
A police team is departing for Saudi Arabia tonight to bring back Kamrul Islam, the prime accused in the murder case of 13-year-old Rajon.
The three-member team is scheduled to fly from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:00am. They will repatriate Kamrul with assistance from Interpol.
Md Rahmatullah, additional deputy commissioner (media) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police and a member of the team, told our Moulvibazar correspondent of the repatriation status.
Mahbubul Karim, additional superintendent of police (police headquarters), is leading the team. The other member is AFM Nizam Uddin, a senior assistant superintendent of Sylhet police.
Kamrul is expected to be brought back by October 15, Rahmatullah said.
On July 8, thirteen-year-old Samiul Alam Rajon was beaten to death by Kamrul and several other brutes in Kumargaon Bus Stand area of Sylhet Sadar upazila.
The act was filmed by a laughing assistant and the video later found its way into social networking website Facebook. It drew countrywide flack and condemnation.
