Bangla Bhai’s ‘adviser’ held in Rajshahi

Law enforcers today claimed arrest of an adviser of the notorious Bangla Bhai, ex-chief of the now banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).

The arrestee was identified as Lutfar Rahman Pramanik, a former local madrasa teacher, reports our Rajshahi correspondent quoting law enforcers.

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) made the arrest from Sikhdari area of Rajshahi's Bagmara upazila, said Shah Nur, assistant sub-inspector of Rab-5.

He is an accused in 10 criminal cases including murder and extortion. He said Rab will hand over the detainee to local police after primary interrogation.
