Law enforcers today claimed arrest of five including a "leading" yaba trader and seized over five lakh contraband tablets from them in Narayanganj.

Among those held was Monjur Alam, a leading yaba trader, said Maj Syed Salauddin Ahmed, acting commanding officer of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) 2.

A total of 5 lakh 40 thousand contraband tablets were seized from the five last night in Siddhirganj. Also, cash worth Tk 3.44 lakh was seized from them.

Tipped off, Rab men chased down a car on the Narayanganj highway around 11:30pm and held two of them, he said. The others were held from another car based on their information.
