Pro-BNP lawyers scuffle with cops near HC

Pro-BNP lawyers locked into a scuffle with police in High Court area when law enforcers barred them from moving towards Bakshibazar court, which is expected to deliver verdict in a graft case against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today.

The scuffle took place after police shut the Mazar gate of High Court at 10:30am.

The lawyers could enter the Supreme Court after showing their identity cards while they were allowed to leave the SC premises through an alternative gate.

Police have deployed water cannon near the Mazar gate area to avert any untoward situation.
