‘Govt has no plan to resume household gas connection’
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today said the government has no plan to resume household gas connection.
“We are encouraging LPG gas connection for the household use…as the gas supply in the pipeline is very much costly,” said the state minister.
The state minister said this while replying to a supplementary question made by women reserve seat lawmaker Lutfa Taher in the House here.
The government has decided to stop gas extension at the domestic level as pipeline gas supply is very much cost-effective, he said adding, that already 75 per cent area across the country has already been covered by the LPG gas supply.
