ACC finds graft allegations against 23 health service staff
The Anti-Corruption Commission has found allegations of amassing wealth illegally against 23 officials in various offices under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The anti-graft watchdog today sent a letter to the Director General of the DGHS suggesting him to take step for transferring the 23 officials and employees, sources at the ACC told The Daily Star this evening.
The letter stated that the “corrupt, authoritarian and power abuser officials” have created strong sphere of corruption due to work in the same workplace for long time, which tarnished the good image of the health services.
The ACC found the officials and employees amassed huge wealth by abusing their power, according to the letter.
As the investigation into the allegations against the officials is underway, now the DGHS should transfer the officials to other places immediately, the letter added.
The Daily Star has obtained a copy of the letter.
