146 Rohingyas sent back
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members this morning sent back 146 Rohingyas who entered the country in the wake of fresh tensions between the insurgents and Myanmar security forces since last night.
The Rohingyas fled into Bangladesh after crossing the Naf river through Palongkhali of Ukhia upazila, Ulubunia, Lombhabil and Kharengabhona of Teknaf upazila due to the nightlong clashes in Myanmar, SM Ariful Islam, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-2 in Teknaf, told The Daily Star.
Later, Bangladesh border troopers gave the 146 refugees primary care and sent them back to Myanmar, he added.
