Lakshmipur to go under lockdown tomorrow morning

Lakshmipur district is going to be put under lockdown from tomorrow morning to combat the spread of coronavirus.

District Deputy Commissioner Anjon Chandra Paul issued a circular in this regard after the first Covid-19 case was confirmed in the district yesterday.

The lockdown will be in effect from 6:00am tomorrow and continue until further notice, the circular said, adding no one can enter or exit the district.

Public transport and business establishments will remain closed as usual, but emergency services, food outlets and medical services will remain out of purview of the lockdown.
