Worker killed as iron plate falls on him Dhaka

A construction worker was killed as an iron plate fell on him while he was working in an under-construction building site in the city's Kathalbagan area on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Hashem, 35.

Sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital said the incident took place around 9:00am when a heavy iron plate fell on the body of Hashem during pilling work of an under-construction building, leaving him critically injured.

Al-Amin, a co-worker of the victim, brought Hashem to the hospital around 10:00am where he died around 10:15am.
