Wanted accused dies in cop custody

A wanted accused has died in police custody hours after being arrested from Dhaka’s Jatrabari.
Jamal Uddin Ripon, 45, stood accused in at least five cases with Jatrabari police, Kazi Wazed Ali, officer-in-charge of the police station, told The Daily Star.

Later, he was taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 12:05am, added the OC.
Morgue sources told The Daily Star, there were no injury marks on the body.
