Three killed in road accidents
Three persons including an Indian national were killed in separate road accidents in the last two days.
Biker Sazedur Rahman Hira, 35, was killed and his co-rider Ayan Kabir was injured as a bus hit their bike in Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur yesterday, reports our correspondent.
Quoting witnesses police said the accident took place in Nurjahanpur area, when the two were returning to Bogra from Ghoraghat upazila in Dinajpur, killing Sazedur on the spot.
Locals rushed the injured to Ghoraghat Upazila Health Complex.
In Narayanganj, mill worker Lal Mia, 35, was killed in Dapa area under Fatullah Police Station area yesterday, police said.
A truck loaded with iron plates hit Lal Mia. He was later taken to Narayanganj 300-bed hospital, where doctors declared him dead, said Manzur Kader, officer-in-charge of the police station.
After the accident, law enforcers seized the bus but the driver fled. The body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy, said the OC.
Meanwhile, Indian national Sudana Bewa, 69, succumbed to her injuries at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital yesterday, after she suffered critical injuries in an accident on Thursday.
Assistant Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Iftekhayer Alam said she was admitted to RMCH on Thursday after being run over by an unidentified vehicle in Sonaidighi area under Godagari upazila.
